Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully. By accessing or using the Skates.pk marketplace (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and be capable of forming a binding contract. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
2. Our role — a marketplace venue
Skates.pk is a platform that connects buyers and sellers of skateboarding gear. We are not a party to any transaction between users, we do not take ownership of listed items, and we do not process or hold payments. Payment is arranged directly between buyer and seller, typically cash on delivery or in person. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or accuracy of any listing, and any deal you enter is at your own risk.
3. Listings
- You may only list items you own and are legally entitled to sell.
- Listings must be accurate, not misleading, and include honest photos, prices and condition.
- Prohibited items include counterfeit goods, stolen property, and anything unlawful to sell in Pakistan.
- We may remove listings, or refuse, suspend or approve them, at our discretion.
4. Orders, delivery & completion
Buyers place orders on listings; sellers may accept or reject them. Accepting an order locks the listing to other buyers. For shipped orders, the seller arranges dispatch and shares tracking details. An order is completed only when the buyer confirms receipt, which then unlocks the ability to leave a review. If there is a problem, a buyer may open a dispute for review. You agree to communicate and act in good faith throughout the order process.
5. Seller verification & credits
Sellers may request identity verification and may purchase credit packages to publish or feature listings. Credit purchases are activated only after an administrator verifies the corresponding payment made off-platform. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated.
6. Reviews & conduct
Reviews must reflect genuine transactions and honest opinions. You agree not to post false, defamatory, or manipulated reviews, and not to solicit or offer incentives for reviews. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
7. Prohibited conduct
- Fraud, scams, or misrepresenting yourself, your items or a transaction.
- Posting unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive content.
- Harassing, threatening or spamming other users.
- Attempting to circumvent security, scrape data, or disrupt the Service.
- Using another person’s identity, or creating accounts to evade suspension.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (listings, photos, messages, reviews). By posting, you grant Skates.pk a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you provide and confirm you have the rights to share it.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that listings, users, or transactions are accurate, safe or legitimate. Content is user-generated and we do not endorse it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skates.pk and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from transactions between users, item quality, delivery, or your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skates.pk from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your conduct may harm the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pakistan for any dispute arising from the Service.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
